Continuing on with the recap of our day riding bikes in Bentonville, AR…
We left the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and rode our bikes back through the Bentonville Square and on to Yeyo’s Mexican Restaurant for lunch.

It was our second time to eat there in 3 days. We gladly returned. The food is great.

Lunch with old friends is always amazing.
Next we stopped over next door and partook of locally made chocolates at Markham and Fitz Chocolates. I had an amazing dark chocolate coconut truffle. Then I accidentally sipped a stranger’s old cold coffee. New advice: Ask before you sip something you believe to be your spouse’s. Ha! I didn’t die and now we have something to laugh about for the next quarter century of marriage.
Sadly, we said goodbye to our dear friends and hopped on e-bikes and headed away from the Bentonville Square. We rode through an apartment complex, along a dry creek bed, behind some cafe’s and before long, we were cycling through the Walmart Corporate Campus. We rode through several lighted tunnels and popped out at a green space with a coffee shop called Onyx at the preserve.

Next we cycled on to Lake Bentonville/Osage Park and watched private airplanes take off and land while we sipped cold drinks (that were actually ours!).

Lake Bentonville has a playground, a dock for fishing, kayaks and inside the airport terminal is a cafe and retail items for sale. There is plenty to do for kids.
My husband and I felt triumphant at having made the most out of a simple trek without any advanced planning and logistics. J
