Downhill Family Crosses Over to Soccer

Road tripping home from the season’s first tournament

The downhill gear has been washed and folded and put on pause for a minute.

We always lament the beginning of soccer season. The schedule dribbles in by bits and pieces. The stress mounts and finding time to go to a downhill park becomes harder.

But once the play starts, those feelings fade. We love soccer. My kids love to play it and I absolutely love to watch them play.

My middle daughter had her first tournament of the season. It was rainy but fun. She is going be part of a strong team with fierce but kind teammates under guidance from great coaching and a really seasoned and supportive parent cheering section. Ah…I can chill and enjoy the driving. I feel very fortunate,

Road tripping for soccer tournaments is different from road tripping for downhill sports but I enjoy it just the same.
