Me and my middle child are heading to Snowshoe. It’s a rare thing to get one on one time with any one child. It’s fleeting. They grow fast and they have big plans. So I enjoy it while I can.
She asks me questions and we talk about what she’s reading for summer assignments and she says she dreads school starting in a few weeks and I know what she means. She loves school and loves to learn but she loves our summer road trips to DH parks more. So do I. And I say jokingly, “Let’s just drive away from school into the sunset” and she agrees.
