Downhill Family

Families at Snowshoe show up on all kinds of wheels. They have a blast and it makes me super happy to be surrounded by all the flowy action.

I love this photo. I love the kids’ scooters with the beloved cartoon images. I love the little push bikes. They are adorable to me. They represent burgeoning freedom and individualism but they are also part of a family on wheels.

Starting downhill has to start somewhere and it’s completely fine to bring the kids and never send them down the mountain. They can scooter or push themselves on whatever they feel most comfortable until the time is right (if and when that time comes) to don a chest plate and full face helmet.
